ECON 128: Economic Development: A Historical Perspective

Economic development from a historical perspective, drawing on multiple disciplines and analytical frameworks. Focus on institutional, cultural, and social foundations of development and how they relate to political and economic factors. Discussion of conceptual and historical issues; approaches to the process of development; literature dealing with historical process. Student presentations rquired. Limited Enrollment.
