EALC 402A: Topics in International Technology Management (EASTASN 402A, EE 402A)

Autumn 2023 Theme: "The Emerging Digital Economy in Context: US-Asia Cooperation and Competition." This course will examine ways in which new digital technologies, business models, and data governance frameworks are addressing problems and opportunities at the interface between the digital economy and the external world, with special attention to new patterns of competition and cooperation between Asia and the U.S. Individual sessions will focus on topics such as live commerce, new models of AI governance, the role of digital transformation in addressing climate change, cross-border data sharing in an era of heightened concern for privacy and security, digital platforms for supply chain integration, and AI competition.
