Personal bio
Tamara Gilkes is a doctoral candidate in the Sociology of Education program within the Graduate School of Education. She earned a BA in Sociology and Journalism from New York University in 2008 and a MS in Education from Lehman College in 2010. Prior to Stanford, she taught middle school science for five years in New York City. Her advisors are Anthony Antonio and Eric Bettinger, and her research interests include college access, racial inequality and social networks. |
