Rosanne Marie Siino

Rosanne M. Siino, PhD, is an independent strategic consultant and a lecturer in Stanford University's Management Science and Engineering Department. At Stanford, she teaches undergraduate and Master's courses in Organization Theory, Organizational Behavior, Global Work, and Leadership. She completed her PhD in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University in June 2007. Rosanne's academic research interests center on the socio-emotional effects of digital technologies on how people work and interact. Prior to her doctoral studies, Rosanne worked for 16 years in high technology corporate communications, retiring from that career in 2000. For six years, she served as Vice President of Corporate Communications for Netscape, the Web software company generally credited with starting the Internet revolution. As a member of the founding team, she was instrumental in creating and directing Netscape's brand and visibility from the company's beginnings in 1994 until its purchase by AOL in 1999. Rosanne has served as a consultant for a number of high technology and Internet companies, including QualComm, Ricoh, AOL, SUN Microsystems, and Shutterfly. She is involved in numerous philanthropic and environmental activities, working especially on issues related to empowering women and girls, preserving wildlife, and advancing cancer research. She currently serves on the board of Lindsay Wildlife Experience, a premier environmental education and wildlife rehabilitation center based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
