We study how the sensory cells of the inner ear detect the mechanical forces induced by sound. We use mouse genetics, calcium imaging, molecular biology, biochemistry, scanning electron microscopy (SEM)and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Focused-Ion beam SEM (FIB-SEM).
