Personal bio
Dr. Bachrach is Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology at Stanford University School of Medicine. She holds a BA from Harvard University, an MD from Tufts University School of Medicine, and completed pediatric residency and endocrine fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco, Stanford University, the Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada. Dr. Bachrach is active in clinical practice, clinical research and medical education. Her major research focus is osteoporosis prevention in pediatrics. Her work has examined bone growth and mineral acquisition in healthy youth and the risk factors for early bone fragility in children and adolescents with disorders of bone fragility. Additionally, she is working on protocols to evaluate and treat osteoporosis in pediatrics. Currently teaching
