Gina Klein Jorasch has over 25 years of executive and business management experience in high-tech, social innovation and academia. She was a co-founder or early executive at 5 Silicon Valley startups, all of which had successful IPOs or acquisitions, and a founding board member for 2 nonprofit startups. As co-founder and VP Marketing at Nexo.com, Jorasch was responsible for all marketing and business development leading to a successful launch and acquisition by Shutterfly. As the Director of Product and Strategic Marketing for VeriSign, Jorasch helped grow revenues from startup to $1 billion, resulting in a very successful IPO. Her experience also includes positions with Hewlett Packard, Silicon Graphics, and Booz Allen and Hamilton. Jorasch was a founding board member for Silicon Valley Social Venture Partners and has participated in funding social entrepreneurs for over 15 years. At Stanford Graduate School of Business, she was Director at the Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies (SEED), Director of Social Innovation Programs/ Public Management Program, and a Co-instructor. At SEED, she was part of the start-up leadership team responsible for creating strategy and implementing programs to support entrepreneurs in developing countries for this new institute founded in November 2011. She helped launch SEED's first Innovation Center in Ghana. As a co-instructor at the Stanford GSB, she has taught Formation of New Ventures and Critical Analytical Thinking. At the Center for Social Innovation, she launched and managed the Social Innovation Fellowship, oversaw Service Learning Trips, and ran Impact Investing and other programs. Jorasch received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and was recognized as an Arjay Miller Scholar. She received an MA in Education Administration and Policy Analysis from the Stanford Graduate School of Education. She also graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yale University with a BS in Applied Mathematics.
