Personal bio
Dan Birman received his BA degree in Neurobiology from Cornell University in 2012 and is currently a PhD student at Stanford University in the lab of Professor Justin Gardner ( http://gru.stanford.edu). Dan is interested in why the brain creates a conscious representation of the world. He studies this by collecting behavioral and cortical measurements during tasks that require consciousness and from those that don't, and uses computational models to link these measures.
