Personal bio
David Henderson has degrees from the University of Michigan, the Juilliard School, and the Conservatoire de Bordeaux. He started his career as a member of the marching band in DisneyWorld, later spent ten years in New York as a theater musician both on and off-Broadway, and since 1988 has lived in the Bay Area, playing regularly with the San Francisco Symphony, Opera and Ballet. For over twenty years he played on the streets of San Francisco as a member of the San Francisco Saxophone Quartet, a group discovered on the streets by the president of Angel/EMI records, leading to a recording contract, many CD's, and concert tours of most of the 50 United States and Japan. He currently plays with the Premiere Saxophone Quartet and teaches at both Stanford and the University of the Pacific. Currently teaching
