Personal bio
Biliana Kassabova is a lecturer in French literature and language. She works on 18th and 19th century French literature and culture, specifically revolutions in France, the Enlightenment, and the 19th century novel. Her research and teaching interests lie at the intersection of literature, history, and intellectual thought. She holds a B.A. in French and Economics from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in French from Stanford. Biliana has taught classes in French Language, French literature and culture (17th-20th centuries), history, and film and philosophy. In 2013 she was a recipient of Stanford's Centennial Teaching Award.
