Ammi Keller has been a writer of fiction and zines, as well as an editor in independent publishing. As a writer, Ammi began putting out her zine Emergency in 1998. She was a Wallace Stegner Fellow in Fiction from 2008-10. Her work appears in the anthologies The Zine Yearbook and Stories Care Forgot and the magazines Clamor and Pataphysics. As Marketing Manager for Soft Skull Press, Ammi acquired, edited and promoted memoirs, first novels and poetry. Ammi toured the country twice doing spoken word and was the keynote speaker at the Radical Reference Free Speech Buffet at the American Library Association Conference in 2006. She was the Nancy Packer Lecturer in Continuing Studies from 2010-11.
