Robert Merritt received his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Yale University in 1991. He receieved his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College in 1998. He completed general surgery residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell in 2005. He then completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery the Massachusetts General Hospital in 2008. He currently is an assistant professor in the department Cardiothoracic Surgery Department.
