Melanie Conroy

Melanie Conroy Melanie Conroy received her PhD in French from Stanford in 2012. She also holds an MA in comparative literature from SUNY Buffalo and another MA in French literature from the University of Paris VIII. Her main interests are nineteenth-century French literature, modern European social and intellectual history, French cultural studies, and social networks as they pertain to literary and cultural production. Her dissertation examines the discourse of nobility in nineteenth-century French fiction and popular culture. Over the years, she has taught composition and rhetoric, French language, French and world literature, French film, and philosophy and literature.
